Online players were out in full force this past weekend to compete in all the major online poker tournaments taking place. Over at AbsolutePoker.com, players were fighting to earn the top pay day during the $100k Guaranteed tournament but it would be online player TECHNICS_ who would log off the victor.
The $100k guaranteed tournament at Absolute Poker had a buy-in of $500 plus $30 and two hundred and nine players would pony up to get in on the action. Just twenty seven spots were paid so players had to bring their top game to be able to cash out during the tournament.
With so many players competing, the prize pool was pushed just over the guaranteed $100k to $104,500 which would give the first place finisher $27,170. Nine players would make the final table and the top three performers were TECHNICS_, ROOTHLUS2 and NOTAJGREEN.
After a while in three way play NOTAJGREEN would be knocked out of the competition which would leave ROOTHLUS2 and TECHNICS_ to fight for the $27,000 plus first place prize. It would not be long before TECHNICS_ would gain the chip lead and make the move to clinch the win. On the final hand ROOTHLUS2's cards did not hold up and TECHNICS_ knocked him out and earned the win.
