As many know, the WSOP hosts a special poker tournament for media professionals and so Bodog Poker has created their own version of the tournament. Bodog is hosting a special poker tournament for poker bloggers or any gaming or sports related bloggers. The special poker tournament for the bloggers is set to begin most likely in September.
The final dates have not been set but Bodog is stating the tournament will begin at some point in September. The schedule for the tournament has yet to be determined as well because it will be dependent upon how many bloggers register to play. Bloggers must apply first to compete and then be approved and qualified for the event before they will be allowed to compete.
All bloggers who register and are accepted will receive notice of their approval. It will be once all players have been approved that the dates will be announced for the tournament. The cost of the tournament for bloggers will be only $10 plus $1 so everyone will be able to compete. The events will take place every Tuesday at 9:05 ET and updates will be given in the Bodog Beat.
This year "Smokkee" from the online website, Pokeraffiction, will be hosting yet again via internet radio. Players who are competing will be able to tune into the Pokerafficition to listen to the event as it is being played out. Twitter updates have been organized as well so followers of Twitter can get updates of the action.
This year's tournament will see special guest appearances, bounty players as well as a chance for players to win added cash prizes. At last year’s Bodog Blogger event it was online player TonySoprano defeated wilwonka in heads up play for $2,000 in cash as well as a $100 online credit.
