Bodog recently announced the schedule for their third Poker Open Series. The tournament series was already popular but this year should become even more popular due to the changes that have been made. Bodog Poker has decided to change the series to match similar poker series that have the tiered system.
The Bodog Poker Open III will run from April 26th through May 3rd and will feature events with three tiers. The tiers will come in low, medium and high settings so every player will be able to find an event that their bankroll can afford. The lowest level of buy-ins will be called the Mini Bounty Series while the mid range buy-in level will be called the Mid-Stakes Series. For those who enjoy the high roller events they will want to participate in the Championship Series level which is the high end level. Bodog has also made other changes to the online poker series. They will not offer players guaranteed prize pools to each event like most online poker tournaments. This time, Bodog will be offering additional money to the Championship Series prize pools. So no matter how many players register the event will have a $75K added to the event. But if you cannot afford the high buy-in of the Championship Series then the low buy-in level offers a special incentive as well. Players competing in the Mini-Bounty tournament level will be able to go up against Bodog Poker Pros Evelyn Ng, David Williams, Justin Bonomo and Jean-Robert Bellande as well as other players from Bodog past events.
The Main Event of the Bodog Poker Open III will take place on May 3rd and will feature a total prize pool of over $280,000. Satellites for the Main Event as well as other Poker Open events are currently running at Bodog Poker and will continue until the tournament series begins.
