Bad beat jackpots are very popular at the online poker rooms that provide them such as Absolute Poker and UB. The jackpots give players an extra reward for competing at the specific tables. The jackpots are usually found at the smaller online poker rooms but now one of the big players in online gambling has added their own version.
Bodog Poker recently announced the addition of their form of a bad beat jackpot. The site is now offering bad beat action and players can win extra cash, though not as much as the other rooms are offering. Still, Bodog is offering smaller stakes and more hands are eligible to win the pot than other poker rooms.
Other online bad beat jackpots offer wins for those who lose with a four of a kind or better, Bodog bad beat can be triggered with a full house, aces full of kings or better. Those who have this hand and are beaten will be eligible to win 100 times the big blind up to a maximum of $1,000.
The bad beat at Bodog has several conditions which must be met before a win can be claimed. The players must be playing at a Texas Hold'em cash game table, no tournaments. Both pocket cards must be played in the winning and losing hand at the table. Three or more players must be dealt cards in the hand and the hand must be brought to a showdown, no early folds are eligible.
Also the player taking the bad beat must submit the hand number to Bodog’s customer service department no later than forty eight hours after the win. Once the bad beat is verified, the $1,000 will be credited to the players account. The hand number must be verified by Bodog before it will be paid out.
