Bodog Pros Making The Grade -2008 WSOP - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 01:59
Bodog Poker Pros Evelyn Ng and Jean-Robert Bellande have made an impressive run at the 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, both still in the running to take down the most prestigious live poker tournament of our time.

On Day 2B, Bodog Pro Evelyn Ng, known not only for her impeccable poker skills, but her stunning high heels and impressive chip tricks, raked in a few lucrative pots in very little time. Ng ousted John Sentas with an A-K vs. A-6 to claim a 30k pot, then another 20k just fifteen minutes later, forcing her opponent to fold on a big river bet. Ng's current chip total going into Day 3 rests at 175,900.

BodogPoker.net Pro Jean-Robert Bellande has increased his stack from about 90,000 to a current total of 232,500. Most notably, Bellande took down 2-time WSOP Bracelet winner Howard Lederer, whose career earning total more than $4 million in live tournament play, on Day 2B of the 2008 WSOP Main Event.

Bellande raised 2,000 with pocket 9’s, only to be re-raised 7,700 by Lederer with As-Kh. As the board came down, 10d-6d-2h-3c-6c, Bellande refrained from celebrating his victory out of great respect for the highly successful Lederer, who was sent home without finishing in the money.

No doubt, Bodog Poker is sending great waves of good-luck energy to its Bodog Pros, Evelyn Ng and Jean-Robert Bellande, as they inch their way ever closer to the most coveted prize of all - a 1st place victory in the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event.

The action will wrap up as the eventual WSOP winner is crowned on July 14.

Is it just me, or is anyone else surprised that the BodogSports doesn't appear to offer bets on WSOP?
