Bodog Poker has announced the coming of a second installment of the Bodog Poker Open, deemed BPO II. Satellites are currently ongoing for a chance to play in the lucrative series of events.
Back in March of 2008, Bodog Poker introduced the Bodog Poker Open, labeled “the biggest tournament in Bodog history!†A week of high stakes action with sizable prizes ensued over the 6-event schedule. Finally, on March 9th, the Bodog Poker Open Main Event took place.
History was made that day as ‘phatcat’ became the first ever to claim the crown of Bodog Poker Champion. He was awarded $76,280 for the 1st pace victory, plus a specially engraved Omega Speed Master Pro watch valued at $4,400.
In its inaugural season, the Bodog Poker Open saw its own professional Team BodogPoker.com players not just among the field, but putting up a valiant fight. Evelyn Ng took 2nd place in the 1st event of BPO I, with Josh Arieh in 3rd.
It will be interesting to see what Bodog Poker Open II has in store for everyone. For now, Satellite competitions are open in the Bodog Poker lobby. BPO II Main Event Satellites start at $33 and up, while Sub-Satellites start at $5 or 1,000 points.
