Antonius and Dwan Continue Durrrr Challenge - Monday, June 08, 2009 at 09:28

Last week Patrik Antonius and Tom Dwan took a break from the World Series of Poker to continue their faceoff of the "durrrr challenge". The two poker pros logged onto FullTilt Poker to continue their challenge and managed to compete for almost three hours and adding 874 hands to the 14,000+ hands they have already completed. Now after the latest round of play Antonius is in the lead, up $447,684 over Dwan.

Antonius took down the first big hand of the session when he opened betting at $1,200. Dwan bet to $3,600 and Antonius called. Betting continued until the pot was worth $157,596. Antonius got a King on the river to complete his flush and he earned the first large pot of the session.

Almost two hours into play the duo had two more large pots up for grabs at two different tables. The first pot was worth $124,378 and Dwan was able to earn that pot with aces up while the second pot was also won by Dwan when he drew a nut flush. The second pot was worth $122,559.

Dwan won yet another pot and it was worth the most of the session and one of the largest to be won during the challenge. Just over $200,000 was won by Dwan when he showed a hand of tens full of eights.

Even though Dwan was able to take down so many good size pots at Full Tilt Poker during the session he is still down during the challenge. The two poker pros have completed 15,000 hands of the 50,000 challenge and it has taken twenty one sessions for the players to complete. It may take some time but we shall see soon enough who will be the top winner of the durrrr challenge.
