The internet has been abuzz over the past few weeks as poker fans and players try to figure out if Tom ‘durrrr' Dwan is going to sign with Full Tilt Poker. As reported earlier a recent interview of Howard Lederer hinted that Dwan might be in the works to sign with Full Tilt. Now reports have surfaced that a Facebook account supposedly owned by Phil Ivey says that Dwan will be signing soon with the online poker room.
Dwan is a fixture at Full Tilt poker especially at the high stakes tables so it makes perfect sense that he would sign with the poker room. However Dwan is a top notch poker pro so I would imagine that a regular deal would not cut the mustard. So as Lederer stated, Full Tilt and Dwan would have to come to terms before a deal would be signed.
The new report that surfaced came from a Facebook profile for Phil Ivey. The status update on the profile stated: "you heard it first from Team Ivey, Full Tilt Poker will soon announce a big sponsorship signing of the best of the best, young online phenom, Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan. Durrrr will be the latest addition to Team Full Tilt, details to come. Check Twitter for the latest updates."
Now the Facebook account could be fake or it could be real, it can be hard to tell when it comes to social networking sites. But according to Bluff Europe the Facebook account could be real according to some. I guess we will just have to wait for more information or until Dwan signs with Full Tilt poker.
