FTOPS XIII Event #22 Results - Monday, August 17, 2009 at 20:39

Event #22 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XIII has ended and like many others the event had such a good turnout that the large guaranteed prize pool was increased significantly. Many of the FTOPS XIII events have seen an increase in prize money which is great for those competing.

Event #22 was the $2,500 plus 120 No Limit Hold'em 6-max tournament which lasted for two days. Eight hundred and fifty players registered for the event and this amount of players raised the guaranteed prize pool from $2,000,000 to $2,125,000.

Each event is hosted by a Full Tilt Poker pro and event #22 was hosted by one of the most popular online players. Patrik Antonius was the host and is known for his online play. He has earned quite a bit of profit over the past few months while going against fellow poker pros. Antonius has earned eleven WSOP cash finishes, seven WPT cash finishes and one EPT title. Antonius is one of the top online poker pros and it is no doubt that those participating were glad to be playing along with him.
Several pros that play at Full Tilt were able to cash out though Antonius was not one of them. Erick Lindgren earned 85th place and just over $4,000 while Gary Jones finished in 75th place and earned just over $4,400. Brandon Adams finished in 58th place while Erich Kollmann finished in 45th. Mike McDonald followed close behind in 41st place and Markus Golser was next in 39th place.

The last Full Tilt pro left would be Brian Hastings, an instructor at CardRunners. Hastings would face psutennis11 in heads up play to fight for the first place prize. The difference in second and first was quite large, over $163,000, so both wanted to earn the top payout.

Though Hastings is the pro, he would not earn the win as psutennis11 would hold the right cards when the time was right to make a move. Psutennis11 would earn the first place finish and the $453,687.50 prize.

Final Results:
psutennis11 - $453,688
Brian Hastings - $297,500
GreatDANbino - $212,500
debbiedds - $161,500
CrazyIvan24 - $114,750
bob2bob - $73,313
