While much of the Full Tilt online poker community is engrossed in the 8th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS VIII), currently in full swing, the online poker room has taken the opportunity to announce it's upcoming tournament - the Full Tilt Heads-Up world Championship. The event is scheduled to take place on the weekend of May 24th-25th.
The Full Tilt Heads-Up World Championship was not created for penny-ante poker players, nor the faint of heart, proposing a $25,000 direct buy-in for any high rollers who wish to take a shot at this massive tournament. Those interested will need to act quickly, as the event is only accepting a maximum of 64 participants.
Among the list of current sign-ups are Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer and none other than the reigning champion of the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, who will also be hosting the event at FullTiltPoker.
Should the direct buy-in of $25,000 be too much for some of the online poker rooms players, there is still two weeks left to enter various qualifying Satellite Tournaments, granting entry to the esteemed Full Tilt Heads-Up World Championship. Heads-Up World Championship qualifiers will be held exclusively on Thursday, May 22 at 3:00 p.m. ET, and May 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET, with buy-ins of $500 + $35.
Whether taking a seat in this massive online poker championship event, or simply looking on as the action unfolds, with so many of today's top professional poker players scheduled to be in attendance, the Full Tilt Heads-Up World Championship is doubtless to become one for the online poker history books.
