| Full Tilt Poker Announces Schedule of FTOPS IX - Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 02:19

It was only two months ago that the 8th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS VIII) was awarding the top prize of more than $400k to "cheesemonster" for winning the Main Event. Here we are in early July, and the online poker room has just released the schedule for the upcoming FTOPS IX, guaranteeing a massive overall prize pool of at least $15,000,000.
The action will kick-off at FullTilt.com on August 6, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. ET with a $216 No Limit Hold'em event worth $1,000,000 guaranteed. The 25-event FTOPS series will continue through Sunday, August 17 as the players converge on the tables of the FTOPS IX Main Event at 6:00 pm ET, a $535 No Limit Hold’em tournament boasting a $2.5 million GP.
The host of each event has yet to be determined, but if it’s anything like FTOPS VIII, we can expect to see some very reputable names on the list. FullTiltPoker.com will be hosting an FTOPS IX Leaderboard competition as well.
Full Tilt Poker will soon be hosting poker satellites and qualifiers, awarding seats in FTOPS IX. Win more than one satellite to the same event, and the online poker room will award the extra buy-in as T$ (tournament dollars). For instance, if a player wins two FTOPS IX Main Event Satellites, he would receive automatic entry to the FTOPS IX Main Event, plus $535 in $T.
