Full Tilt Poker is a front runner in poker news when it comes to high stakes gaming. The pros like to take to the high limit tables at Full Tilt to enjoy some gaming action. The site has made headlines again with the return of poker pro Brian Townsend.
Townsend is a poker pro at Full Tilt Poker and he was recently suspended for an incident involving online poker pro Isildur1. Townsend was involved in sharing hand histories that helped him earn big money from Isildur1 just a few weeks ago. Townsend was suspended from Full Tilt for one month and now his suspension has ended. So he was back at the Full Tilt tables recently.
Townsend decided to skip his regular Pot Limit Omaha tables and moved to the high stakes action at the mixed 7 game poker tables. When it was all said and done and the session was over, Townsend had lost over a half a million dollars and was probably wishing his suspension had lasted a little longer.
Townsend was up against several players and by the end of the night he had lost $581,674. Some of the big winners against Townsend were David Oppenheim and Tom Dwan.
Patrik Antonius earned $300,000 for the day and was another big winner. A big loser along with Townsend was Cole South who suffered a loss of over $300,000.
The loss is a big one for Townsend especially when he has just now returned to the tables. It makes one wonder if the time off from the tables hurt Townsend's poker game or if he is just experiencing a short term loss. Only time will tell is Townsend will be able to recoup his losses at the high stakes tables at Full Tilt or if he continue on a downward spiral with even more losses.
