Every weekend online poker rooms host their guaranteed tournaments and thousands of players log on to compete. So was the case, as it is every weekend, at Full Tilt Poker. But this past Sunday an unexpected error occurred which caused problems for the online poker website.
All three Sunday tournaments at Full Tilt had server problems this past weekend. The $750k guaranteed the Sunday Brawl and The Sunday Mulligan all experienced the problems. Because an unexpected server error booted a ton of players off of the site, Full Tilt had to make a decision.
The online poker room decided to void all of the tournaments and give players payouts according to their chip counts at the time of the crash. None of the major Sunday tournaments were close to being finished so this week's results for the day are void as well.
However we can tell you how many players competed in each event and how many were paid. In the $750k guaranteed tournament 4,182 players competed, giving 351 players a piece of the $836,400. The Sunday Brawl saw 2,711 players competing and 279 players earned a payday from the $542,200 prize pool. The Sunday Mulligan saw 1,202 players competing and 117 players earned a payday from the $240,400 prize pool.
Each event on Sunday saw a nice increase in the prize pools. Each event was increased by tens of thousands of dollars created a total prize pool increase of over $240,000 for the day. Not bad for those competing!
Players who want to participate in next weekend’s tournaments can compete now to earn a seat to one of the events for low buy-ins. Satellites are a great way for players to earn their seat to the Sunday tournaments without having to pay the $200+ buy-ins to compete.
