Party Poker started a new promotion this week called the Genius promotion. The promotion will run for 10 million hands and for every 50,000th hand the pot of that particular hand will be squared up to a maximum of $5,000.
Now many of you may not remember math from high school so let's give an example of what squaring the pot will do. If a jackpot hand was to occur on a pot of $70 then that pot would be squared to $4,900, a huge increase! If a smaller jackpot hand is being played for say $6 then the pot would be increased to the $100 minimum of the promotion.
At least $100 will be awarded every 50,000th pot at the cash game tables with .10 to .25 limits. The promotion is also available at the Fixed Limit tables of .25 and .50. all players dealt cards in the hand will divide the extra payout equally. The poker online winner will earn the original pot. A counter will be running at Party Poker to show the number of hands remaining until the next Genius, the amount of cash awarded and the number of pots boosted is also available for viewing.
For every one millionth hand the minimum payout will be $10,000, must better than the 50,000th hand. The ten millionth hand will be the final hand dealt during the Genius promotion and it will guarantee a large prize of $100,000.
Bets called by players count but uncalled bets will be returned and not squared during the promotion. Players can review the past Genius hands that have been played by watching via the Flash based re-player on the Party Poker website.
