PokerStars Sunday Warm Up saw a good turnout this past weekend and it was Maudi138tt who walked away with just over $137,000 for the first place win. This event has a buy-in of $215 and with 4,379 players competing the prize pool was increased to $875,800.
630 players would earn a payday and once the competition came down to final table play nine players would be competing. FlopeDeNuts, PokerikdeB, jornxx would be eliminated first and would be followed by FATMIKE79, Wawa711 and FatFatJesper. This would leave NutsErryTime, THUGer and Maudi138tt in three way play.
THUGer had been having a good day and was eliminating players left and right. It would not be long before THUGer would go head to head against NutsErryTime. With K-J NutsErryTime would shove all in and would be called by THUGer who held A-Q. the flop came 5-A-9-6-10 and NutsErryTime would exit the tournament in third place.
Maudi138tt had held the chip lead for the majority of the time at the final table but after THUGer had taken out four players right before heads up play he was in the chip lead by just over 1 million chips when heads up play began.
THUGer then offered to chop the remaining prize pool for $120,000 and Maudi138tt counter offered with $110,000 and $119,000 for THUGer. THUGer replied with "120 or we continue to play; I'm used to getting what I want". Maudi138tt gave in and the final payouts were Maudi138tt at $109,426.22 and THUGer would earn $120,000. This left $10,000 for the winner.
In the end Maudi138tt would make the right move on the final hand and take the win from THUGer. Maudi138tt would earn the additional $10,000.
