Online players at PokerStars were out in full force this past week to get in their midweek poker tournament game. PokerStars holds tournaments each day for players to participate in with large guarantees so those who may not get to the weekend tournaments still have a nice opportunity to earn a good bit of extra cash.
This past Wednesday PokerStars held their weekly 100r and Quarter Million tournaments. Each tournament saw good turnouts and both prize pools had increases in their guarantees. The 100r has a buy-in of $100 plus 9 and three hundred and twenty one players registered bringing the prize pool up to $129,600.
Heads up play would soon begin between online players crazysavage and shaniac, both vying for the just over $26,000 first place prize. Shaniac would be the one to play the cards right and crazysavage would go home with the lesser second place prize of $19,440.

The Quarter Million tournament had a larger turnout with nine hundred and eight players competing. The buy-in for this tournament is $300 plus 20 so the prize pool was increased by $22,400 giving players a total prize pool of $272,400.
Heads up play began between online player's gkap13 and kleath once Legacy10 was eliminated in third place. gkap13 was unable to gain the final chip lead and once kleath got the lead and the cards it was on. Kleath made a move and knocked gkap13 out in second to claim the almost $50,000 first place prize.
