www.PokerStar.com kicked off its lucrative weekly online poker tournaments last weekend with the Sunday Warm-up, Sunday Millions and Sunday Second Chance, worth an overall $1.7 million guaranteed. Excessive entries hiked that total to more than $2 million before the day was done.
The big story came from "LoneHixx" who claimed a 6th place, final table finish early in the day, earning $18,000 in the PokerStars.com Sunday Warm-Up. Later that evening - or very early Monday morning I should say - “LoneHixx” would go on to finish the PokerStars Second Chance tournament in 1st place, awarding $49,537.62. All told, “LoneHixx” pocketed $67,537.62 - not bad for a hard day's work!
Poker Stars $500k Sunday Warm-Up
Starting off the rewarding line-up was the Sunday Warm-Up with a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. Of the 2,405 participants who took a seat in the weekly event, the top 351 would place in the money bubble. In the end, it was “nutshot2” ousting “Sir_winalot9” in heads-up to take down the 1st place prize of $79,950.

The highest paying, weekly online poker tournament in the world - the PokerStars Sunday Million, guaranteeing a minimum of $1,000,000 in the prize pool - 6,521 entries escalated the prize pool by an extra $304,200. It took nearly 10 hours for “GoMukYaSelf” to emerge victorious, sending “supadphat” to the rails at almost 2:30 Monday morning.

At 6:30 pm ET, PokerStars kicked off its Second Chance tournament with a $200k guaranteed prize pool. A list of 1,397 players took to the tables, upping the prize pool to an impressive $279,400. Just nine minutes shy of 7 hours into the tournament, “LoneHixx”, who had already finished 6th in the Sunday Warm-Up for $18k, topped off his day by ousting “florian69” at the final table in heads-up play. “LoneHixx” was awarded the 1st place prize of $49,537 for his skilled victory.
