| Two of the EPT Berlin Robbery Suspects in Custody - Monday, March 22, 2010 at 15:13

Just a few weeks ago, the PokerStars European Poker Tour Berlin event was raided by four armed men who stole a large portion of cash from the event. The men got away with over $300,000 but were caught on camera. This was shocking to those in event but luckily two of the four men are now in custody.
One subject, age twenty one, turned himself in just a few days ago to police. The young man then gave police information on the other three men so they could find them and arrest them. The man gave police the other suspect's addresses but when police went to investigate the men were not there.
The German police knew who the men were once the young man told them their names as they all have extensive criminal records. The men escaped the event in a Mercedes Benz which police have now found and the registration was traced back to one of the four men.
All of the men are under the age of twenty three and one more suspect has been arrested as well. Now police are looking for the last two men in the case. The German police believe that the remaining two men have probably left the German border and currently there are no traces of them or financial transactions related to their identity in the country.
The first man who turned himself in explained to police how the robbery went down. The men cased the casino and found where the cash would be and if it was heavily guarded. The men found that the guards did not have guns so the men thought ‘why not?’ and planned their robbery.
The first man said he plans on turning in the money he stole but it is currently with a third party. The other man surrendered himself to the local police when they were on patrol at a subway at the Rosenthaler Platz in Berlin. He asked them if they might be looking for him and they took him in. German police and Interpol have now released a manhunt for across Europe for the remaining two suspects.
