Titan Poker announced recently that they would begin offering their players a monthly million dollar guaranteed tournament. The new tournament took place for the very first time yesterday and it saw 1,975 players competing for their share of the $1 million prize.
Players earned their way into the competition by paying the $500 plus 35 buy-in or by competing in satellites that were run at Titan Poker. Players found that Titan Poker offered a wide variety of satellite events for the new tournament, many starting for just pennies.
Two hundred spots were paid out during this tournament and first place was set to earn $200,000. The difference between first and second place was almost $100,000 so when heads up play finally began it was a fierce battle. Online player's noar12 and jacketch1 would find themselves in heads up play, fighting for the top finish.
Jacketch1 would get the cards on the final hand to take out noar12 and earn the $200,000 first place prize. Although he did not win it all, noar12 walked away $104,000 richer. Players who missed the first $1 million guaranteed tournament can begin to get ready for the next one that Titan Poker will be offering. The second million dollar guaranteed tournament at Titan Poker will take place on October 11th at 1 pm ET. Players can compete in satellites for this tournament as well to earn their seat without having to play the $535 buy-in.
