UltimateBet is celebrating their 10th anniversary in the poker business this year and to commemorate the event, the poker room is hosting a ten month celebration. The poker room has a new theme that is centered on the Roman numeral "X" and a new catch phrase: “Let the Games Begin”.
The ten month celebration will include a $10 million sponsorship for the UltimateBet.com qualifier who wins the World Series of Poker. The sponsorship is part of the new promotion “From a Dime to a $10 Million Dream”. Players will be able to earn a seat to the WSOP for just ten cents. Players will then compete in step qualifiers to earn a WSOP package.
Players will then earn WSOP prize packages worth $12,000 and will compete in the Main Event. If the lucky player who competes in the WSOP Main Event wins then that person will earn a ten year sponsorship deal from UltimateBet Poker worth $10 million.
This is unheard of and completely insane. So many online players are rising to fame at the live poker circuit we could see the next new player emerge from an online Ultimate Bet qualifier to be the next WSOP champion.
If that isn't enough, table finishers wearing UltimateBet gear can win money for taking 2nd through 9th place. 2nd place would win an extra $400K paid out over five years, 3rd would win $300K paid out over three years and 4th through 9th would get $150K over a one year period.
This is an amazing deal and I am sure that many online players will be taking advantage of the ten cent qualifiers. We may see record numbers at the UltimateBetPoker.com website as players fight for their chance at $10 million.
