Dear Jacob,
Yesterday, your Congressman voted NO on H.R. 6870, the Payments System Protection Act. Thankfully, despite your Representative’s vote to deny your right to play poker, the bill did pass with a convincing bi-partisan majority, 30 to 19.
H.R. 6870 will clarify the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and force the regulators to define what constitutes “unlawful” gambling before blocking the American public from playing for money on Internet poker sites.
While this is a great victory for the poker community, you need to express your disappointment with your elected official who voted against the bill.
Please call or email Rep. Scott Garrett at (202) 225-4465.
If you call tell the staffer who answers the phone:
I am a voter, a poker player and a constituent
I am disappointed Rep. Scott Garrett voted against H.R. 6870
There is nothing unlawful about Internet poker
Please tell me why the Representative wants to deny adults the right to play games of skill on the Internet?
Thank them for listening and ask for a written response (you will be required to leave your contact information)
You can also simply email your Representative by clicking here. In just 60 seconds you can send a letter that expresses your disappointment in their NO vote and tells them to support your rights.
Please call or e-mail your Representative now and ask why he/she doesn’t support protecting your Internet freedoms.
Proud to Play,
Poker Players Alliance
