Summary (7.33) Mansion Poker is
a new site to the online poker industry. However, unlike most
new sites, they are really trying to build themselves into a major
player. They are attempting to do this through their TV show
"Mansion Poker Dome". So far, the advertising doesn't seem to be
working all that well. They have a very low player volume,
concentrated mainly at the no-limit low buy-in tables. Mansion
Poker is backed by one of the largest Casino and Sports Betting sites
online, Mansion.com. This should help bring in new players on a
continuous basis.
Software & Interface
(8)
The software that Mansion Poker uses is their own. They do not share
software, nor are they on a network that shares a player base (one of
the reasons why they have so few players on the site). The software
may not look very impressive, but it does have some great features.
You are able to decide which currency you would like to play in. As
well as filter the tables into 9, 8, 6, or 2-handed games. Another
nice feature is the ability to graphically position yourself in
whichever seat you choose. This is a great feature if you are
multi-tabling in that you will always be in the same position no
matter which screen you are looking at. Why other sites have not
adopted this feature, I will never know.
Ring Game & Tournament Action (6)
The action on Mansion Poker has picked up a lot lately, although is
still somewhat limited to the small stakes No-Limit
tables. The tournament action has picked up a bit lately as well.
From the looks of things, Mansion Poker's "Poker Dome" television show
has brought them a good amount of traffic.
Game Variety (7)
MansionPoker's game variety is industry standard. Mansion
offers Texas Hold'em (heads-up, PL, NL, Limit, and short-handed),
Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo. These
games range from heads up, to 6, 8, and 9-handed games in No-Limit, Pot-Limit and
Limit style. Their fixed limit Texas Hold'em games vary from $200/$400
down to $0.01/$0.02 although most games are concentrated on low-limits.
Most of the action at Mansion Poker.com is
focused on the Texas Hold'em tables.
The Competition (7)
The loosest games on Mansion Poker is the low limit no-limit games.
These players are watching poker on television and logging onto
MansionPoker.com to give it a shot. They seem to have a good amount of new players coming into
the site, most likely from their Casino pages, as well as their TV
advertisements.
