The VPP Poker League is back for a new
winter season. There have been a few changes from the previous
season based on suggestions from past participants as we are
continuously striving to make improvements to better serve the VPP
community. Just as before, this will be an 8 week league with an extra
$1,000 available as league prizes! Also, we are again having
a bonus week at the end of the league where there will be a
$200 freeroll that is open to all
league participants who earn at least 3 leaderboard points during
the 8 week league (see below for details on how leaderboard points
will be determined).
League games will be every Thursday night
at 9:00 P.M. EST from January 25 - March 15 (with the bonus week freeroll the following week,
March 22). Each game in the
eight week season will be a $5 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold'em
Tournament. At the end of the eight week league, the top 10 on
the leaderboard will receive the following in league prizes:
1st place - $200
2nd place - $150
3rd place - $125
4th place - $100
5th place - $75
6th place - $50
7th place - $40
8th place - $30
9th place - $20
10th place - $10
Explanation of
Leaderboard Point
System: Players receive league points for each
game in the regular 8 week season based on the following:
1st place - 35 points
2nd place - 25 points
3rd place - 15 points
4th place - 12 points
5th place - 10 points
6th place - 8 points
7th place - 6 points
8th place - 4 points
9th place - 2 points
10th - 20th place - 1 point
NOTE: No leaderboard points are
awarded for the bonus week freeroll, the league standings will be
complete after the end of Week 8.
