Carbon Poker and its multitude of registered internet poker players are sitting on the edge of their seats today as the Bad Beat Jackpot inches ever closer to the $1,000,000 mark. Carbon Poker officials are expecting to hit the 7-digit threshold within the next 24 hours.
"This is the largest Bad Beat Jackpot of any poker room currently online," asserted an email from Carbon Poker yesterday.
To celebrate the milestone event of Carbon Poker's Bad Beat Jackpot, the online poker room is hosting several promotional events. “Any player that plays a bad beat table in the 24 hours [after] it hits the million dollar mark will get a coupon entry into a Bad Beat Jackpot Freeroll that has a prize pool of $1,000.” CarbonPoker.com will also host Bad Beat Sit’n’Go tournaments for a full 24 hours after the 7-digit Jackpot is reached.
To participate in Carbon Poker’s Bad Beat Jackpot competitions, players must take a seat at the specified Bad Beat Cash Tables, where only Texas Hold’em is on the menu. $.50 is taken from each pot to fund the Bad Beat Jackpot.
When the Bad Beat Jackpot is finally released, it will be doled out in the following manner:
35% to the loser of the hand.
17.5% to the winner of the hand.
17.5% split between all other participants in the hand.
10% to Carbon Poker.
20% to seed the next Bad Beat Jackpot.
