Once a month PKR poker hosts The Masters, a $100,000 guaranteed tournament that offers a minimum of $25,000 for first place. the winner earns the large first place prize as well as the title of PKR Masters Champion. Online player ‘PatIvey' of Sweden has apparently mastered The Masters by making the final table of the monthly event three months in a row.
‘PatIvey’ has won the event twice and finished third during his latest foray in the tournament. over the past three months ‘PatIvey’ has earned $60,000 while playing in the PKR Masters. But that has not been his only success. ‘PatIvey’ has also won the Saturday Big Shot and the $10,000 Guaranteed Prime Time tournament. the online player has been very busy dominating the PKR tournament scene.
‘PatIvey’ commented on the past three months saying: "Of course you have to be lucky. But when I play I try not to risk all my chips on weak hands and I try to put the guys on what they have, and after that I make my play. If you have many chips it’s not wrong to be a fish and try to steal. But when you play tournaments you must have a combination of good play and luck. Sometimes you have that luck and sometimes you don’t, but you can always improve your own odds of winning - that’s the big clue I think."
Players can participate in the PKR Masters tournament by buy-in direct for $250 or they can qualify in satellite tournaments that start as low as sixty cents. The tournament schedule for The Masters is available at PKR poker and players have several chances to earn a seat at the online poker room’s top event.
