Online poker room PKR is known for their cutting edge technology which creates a 3D poker playing experience. The site has very realistic graphics and uses technology powered by SIMS to give players this unique experience. The site recently decided to change their policy when in regards to the protection of their players. The change was made to further protect players when competing online.
A new Disconnection Protection policy was added to the site which will help protect players when they are disconnected at the real money ring game tables. The new police protect players who have already contributed money to the pot but were disconnected afterwards before the hand was completed.
This new rule insures that the player's investment is protected. If a player is disconnected while in game play and they have contributed to the pot the situation will be treated as it the player had gone all in. a player who is disconnected and they hold the winning hand or is part of a tie for the winning hand will win the amount of money that was initially invested. The winner might not win money for their opponents and the rest of the pot will be contested by players who were not affected by the disconnect.
Players will still have two allowances for disconnection protection each day and there will be no further disconnection protection offered after the two times. Players who are experiencing frequent disconnection should contact customer support to receive technical assistance.
PKR Poker also stated with the new policy that players should take heed of any misuse of the protection policies. Players who take advantage of the policy can suffer permanent loss of their privileges provided by the Disconnection Program. Players can find more information about the new policy at the updated House Rules page at PKR.
