Players at PKR Poker will have something extra to celebrate this holiday season as the online poker room has introduced a new ‘Christmas Cracker' tournament series that is sure to please. The 13-event series includes low buy-ins, guaranteed prize pools and Christmas gifts for the winners.
The PKR Poker Christmas Cracker schedule kicked off at 6:30pm ET, Monday, December 22nd with a $20 NL Hold’em tournament guaranteeing $5,000, plus a ‘Personalized Luxury PKR Chipset’ to the winner. Similar tournaments will occur each day until Event #12 on Friday, January 2nd, 2009.
The 13th event will take place on January 11th with the most enticing tournament of all, the $5,000 Christmas Cracker Freeroll.
The Christmas gifts themselves may be the most encouraging aspect of PKR.com's Poker’s Christmas Cracker promotion. Among the 1st place presents are a Sony Playstation (80GB), Xbox 360 Elite, Nintendo Wii with Sports Pack, a Panasonic DVD Home Theater System, 32GB iPod Touch and a Sony PSP-300 Console and Go! Cam.
The PKRpoker.com Christmas Cracker tournament series offers very low buy-ins ranging from $10 to $30, with only two exceptions - the Christmas Cracker Freeroll on Jan. 11th, and a $100k GTD Deep Stack event on December 27th. The Deep Stack tourney asks a buy-in of $250 and will award the event’s lucky winner the Nintendo Wii with Sports Pack, not to mention a hefty 1st place cash prize.
