Members of Cake Poker are being offered a new and interesting way to win a seat in the 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Cake Poker has announced a “Share Cake” promotion that will send members to the upcoming WSOP for simply referring their friends to the online poker room.
Each time a player successfully refers a friend to Cake Poker, they are awarded 5 points towards a seat 2008 WSOP Main Event. Each time the referred player is awarded a “gold chip” for playing at Cake Poker, the player who referred them receives an additional 15 points.
In order to successfully refer a friend, the player must instruct the new sign-up to use their email address when joining Cake Poker. Once the friend makes an initial deposit, the points will be credited to the account of the referrer. As an added benefit, Cake Poker will still award up to $100 to any player who successfully refers a friend to the online poker room.
Cake Poker will only award refer-a-friend points to the first-tier of referrals, and Gold Chips won in ‘Gold Chip Lovers’ tournaments will not count towards the accumulation of points. Members of Cake Poker have until midnight GMT (4:00 a.m. ET) on May 31st to collect as many points as they can.
When the promotions ends, the player with the most points on the ShareCake Leaderboard will be awarded a $10,000 seat at the 2008 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. To view the current leaderboard, log into Cake Poker and select Rewards > ShareCake.
