Speidel Wins Aussie Millions 2012 Main Event - Friday, February 03, 2012
Oliver Speidel has won the Aussie Millions 2012 main event championship after performing consistently at the felt for seven hours. The final table started with seven at the Crown Casino, Melbourne. When the day started, Bjorn Li was in the lead with 1.3 million in chips, but Speidel showed his class and composure to clinch the title. (full story)

Rubin Pleads Guilty to Charges From Black Friday - Monday, January 23, 2012
Ira Rubin was in U.S. District Court in Manhattan this past Tuesday and pleaded guilty to various charges. Ira Rubin is a 53 year old American that was indicted on Black Friday by the US DoJ. Rubin was one of eleven people to be indicted on Black Friday and up to this point four people have been charged while the other seven people are still on the run from the law. The US DoJ has been doing what they can to nail down convictions on the people that were indicted on Black Friday. (full story)

John Duthie Resignation as CEO of EPT - Sunday, January 08, 2012
In somewhat shocking news, John Duthie just announced that he has resigned as the CEO of the European Poker Tour (EPT). I can't say that I seen this coming, as there really weren't any hints leading up to Duthie's resignation. A post was made on the 2+2 Forum by one of Duthie's friend's announcing the resignation yesterday. John also signed into 2+2 briefly yesterday to confirm that the news was in fact true and that he would no longer be working with the European Poker Tour. (full story)

2011 EPT Prague Main Event Sets New Record - Thursday, December 08, 2011
The 2011 PokerStars European Poker Tour is in Prague right now and the main event kicked off a couple days ago. A total of 234 players showed up to play in the main event on Day 1A and 488 players showed up on Day 1B. In all, there were 722 players that took part in the 2011 EPT Prague Main Event. This set a new record for the biggest poker tournament in the Czech Republic, as the previous record was only 584 players. (full story)

2011 APPT Macau Main Event Underway - Wednesday, November 23, 2011
The Asia Pacific Poker Tour is in Macau this week and the main event just started. Day 1A is now complete and 269 players ended up making it to the tables for the opening day of the main event. Day 1B isn't until tomorrow (Thursday), so if you're in Macau you still have a bit of time to register for the main event. The APPT expects there to be roughly 300 more players join on day 1B, which would mean over 500 players participated in the 2011 APPT Macau Main Event. (full story)

APPT Macau Season 5 Schedule - Tuesday, November 15, 2011
The Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) is in its 5th season and will be making a stop in Macau this month. The Macau event is the 3rd leg of the 5th season and it's expected to draw tons of poker players from every corner of the world. Macau has become a destination that every gambler wants to visit much like Las Vegas, but the only difference is most people haven't been to Macau.
